Description: Main events for Albion's A-Maizing Corn Harvest celebration take place on Saturday, October 6 with a corn maze behind Caring Community Church on Irwin Avenue; Hay Art at Rieger and Victory parks downtown; the second of three performances of Albion Community Theater's production of the play, "The Quilters" at Caring Community Church; and shopping/dining, window displays, a historic walk and strolling on the River Walk all downtown.

The day also features a pancake breakfast fund raiser early in the morning at Albion's First Presbyterian Church; a quilt show at the church; a chil and corn bread dinner from 4-6 p.m. at St. James Episcopal Church; free showings of "Charlotte's Web" at the Bohm Theater downtown; tours of the Albion Historical Society's Gardner House Museum; the announcement at 3 p.m. at the Albion District Library of the winner of the Scarecrow Contest; a visit to Books & More downtown from "the Barn Lady"; a live performance by the Crimson Blue Band in Stoffer Plaza; Amish crafts and baked goods; a farmers market; collectable corn pins; cow milking demonstrations; 4-H and FFA groups; food booths; hog calling; kettle corn; hands on displays; African American inventors highlighted at Rieger Park; antique cars; farm equipment and restored tractors; arts and crafts; belt sander races; a blacksmith demonstration; campfire cooking with cast iron and Dutch ovens; glass blowing, ice cream, horse drawn wagon rides; live entertainment from 10:30 a.m.-5 p.m. at Victory Park; apple bobbing; a barnyard petting zoo and corn box, corn auction, fuel autos; gunny sack races; an inflatable play area; pumpkin painting and more.
